Tongyeong - ISANGYUN Competition
The ISANGYUN Competition is held in remembrance of renowned Korean composer Isang Yun (1917-1995), with the aim of supporting emerging international soloists and promoting cultural exchange among nations.
And the Competition is held every year alternately in three categories: Piano, Violin, Cello.

This year's Violin edition will take place from November 2 to 10 in Tongyeong Concert Hall, South Korea. It's open to violinists of all nationalities, born between November 1, 1993, and October 31, 2009. Applications are to be received by July 31, 2024.

To support the young violinists who have great potential, the ISANGYUN Competition will cover the costs of round-trip airfare and accommodations fee for participants selected for the First Round.

OPPORTUNITIES
The First Prize winner will be given an opportunity to perform at the 'Orchestra Festival' hosted by the Seoul Arts Center and ‘Music in PyeongChang’ hosted by Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation. Prize winners will be offered performances by Tongyeong International Music Foundation, Kumho Cultural Foundation, the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Gwangju Symphony Orchestra.
