Teppei Kuroda wins the Orchestra' Sion International Piano Competition in Istanbul

Held at the concert hall of Notre Dame de Sion High School in the centre of Istanbul, the International Piano Competition -Istanbul Orchestra’ Sion has successfully finished its 6th edition. The competition has remarkably gained in reputation and now firmly holds an important place in the cultural life of the Turkish capital.

Performing Mozart´s Piano A Major Concerto, 27-year old Teppei Kuroda from Tokyo was able to win over the hearts of the audience, winning First Prize. Terada, who has finished his bachelor studies at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, is currently a student at Hochschule für Musik in Detmold Germany.

Second Prize went to Youl Sun, a student at the Paris Conservatoire and former winner of the 3rd Prize at the international ISANGYUN Competition in Tongyeong, South Korea, while Leonardo Merlini of Piombino, Italy, finished third place.
